Jackie Long

Jackie is currently the General Manager for a Not-for-Profit Aged Care Retirement and Residential facility responsible to a Board of Trustees and is the deputy Chair of Community Trusts in Care Aotearoa – a collaborative of 8 Trusts.

With experience in the health sector for over 31 years, having worked for the NHS in Scotland and DHBs in New Zealand, Jackie has also worked in the Not-for-Profit Sector in the areas of Mental Health and Addiction, Therapeutic Communities, Aged Care , Co-existing Disorders and Intellectual Disability. She is a Registered Mental Health Nurse, and has an extensive background in professional leadership and executive level management in all of these sectors.

Jackie has also set up a social enterprise as a fundraising option for her village and has had previous Board Experience having been on local Boards, including representing New Zealand in Australia for the NZ alcohol and addiction sector (Therapeutic Communities).

With a strong community focus, she is passionate about the Not-for-Profit Sector, Community Engagement and Sustainability.
